The Billionaire's Double Falling for the Black Widow
Chapter 2
The next morning, I woke up and saw Serena sleeping peacefully beside me. My heart sank.
The absolute worst-case scenario had happened.
Not only was my job as a double probably over, but Julian Vance would definitely kill me if he found out.
Just as I threw on my clothes and prepared to sneak out, my phone rang.
It was the butler.
I panicked, sweating over how I was going to explain what happened last night.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Davis, you performed exceptionally well last night. Mr. Vance is highly satisfied. The initial deposit has been wired to your account. You need to head to the office today. A car is waiting for you outside the villa."
*Ding!*
Just as I hung up, a bank notification popped up on my screen.
Two million dollars!
I had never seen so many zeros in my entire life!
Wait... I just slept with his wife, and that counted as passing the test?
I really didn't understand the world of the ultra-rich.
But at least I didn't have to worry about being murdered for now.
Serena was woken up by the phone call. She mumbled sleepily, "Babe, who was that?"
"Just the office. I have some urgent business to handle."
She sat up, her blanket slipping down to reveal her stunning curves. She wrapped her arms around my neck and planted a soft kiss on my cheek.
"Are you coming back tonight?"
I nodded, gently pulling the blanket back up to cover her.
I did it mostly because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to control myself if I kept looking.
After a bit of cuddling, I finally walked out of the villa.
A black Rolls-Royce Cullinan was already waiting at the gate.
When I arrived at the company headquarters, a private assistant escorted me directly to the penthouse suite via a private elevator.
The office was a massive, luxury penthouse of over two thousand square feet.
My rented apartment back home wasn't even five hundred square feet.
Curse these filthy rich capitalists.
Shortly after I sat down, my private secretary, Lily, walked in carrying a hot cup of Darjeeling tea.
"Mr. Vance, your tea."
Lily was an Ivy League graduate. She had a gorgeous face and a killer body, clearly the result of daily gym sessions. She was incredibly curvaceous.
"Put it down."
I gave her a quick glance and looked away.
I spent the morning playing games on my computer. When lunch rolled around, Lily walked back in with a premium heated lunchbox.
"Mr. Vance, I made this healthy lunch myself this morning. Please try it."
There was lobster, fresh salmon, and a bowl of delicious-smelling soup.
"Thanks. That’s very thoughtful of you."
As soon as the words left my mouth, Lily suddenly burst into tears.
"Mr. Vance... did I do something wrong?"
I froze, completely baffled. "What?"
"I’m so sorry, Mr. Vance! Tell me what I did wrong and I’ll fix it immediately. Please don't fire me! My mother is still in the hospital, and I really need this job..."
I realized I’d made another mistake by being too polite. I quickly waved my hand.
"You did great. I’m not firing you. Don't worry."
But to my surprise, Lily dropped straight to her knees.
"Mr. Vance, please give me a chance to make it up to you."
I sighed, leaning back in my leather chair and closing my eyes.
I was trying to figure out how to get this woman out of my office.
But suddenly, I felt a pair of soft hands untying my belt.
I snapped my eyes open. "Wait! I don't need to change my pants!"
Lily looked up at me with tear-filled, pleading eyes.
"Mr. Vance, please... just give me this chance."
