The Billionaire's Double Falling for the Black Widow

Chapter 1

8,910 words

I was chosen by the richest billionaire in the city.

For a whopping five-million-dollar salary, I became his body double.

I originally thought my only job was to show my face in public when he wasn't feeling well.

I never expected that the very first task he gave me was to spend his wedding anniversary with his wife—and satisfy her every single need.

Meanwhile, his gorgeous secretary, Lily, kept dropping hints that she wanted to sleep with me to secure her job.

I quickly lost myself in this glamorous, alcohol-soaked lifestyle, surrounded by stunning women.

But I had no idea that the billionaire had his own dark, unspeakable secrets...

"Luke Davis, you’ve got mail."

My name is Luke. I’m a twenty-nine-year-old software engineer. My parents passed away years ago. I work day and night, pulling endless overtime just to make a miserable monthly salary of less than $3,000.

In a first-tier city, this pocket change is barely enough to keep me fed, let alone buy a house or a car. Aside from my coworkers, I don't even have any friends.

Who would write to me?

I opened the envelope.

Inside, there was only an address and a key.

What was this supposed to mean?

Don't tell me some long-lost rich uncle suddenly died and left me his estate?

I’m not that lucky.

Just as I was thinking this, my phone rang.

It was an international number.

I hung up immediately. I’d been getting so many scam calls lately that my phone was practically burning up.

It was always the same old tricks. Nothing new.

But before I could even put the phone down, it rang again.

Seeing that the caller refused to give up, I finally answered.

"Mr. Davis, please don't hang up. I’m the butler of Julian Vance, the richest man in the city. Because you look almost identical to Mr. Vance, we would like to hire you as his body double."

"A body double?"

I was stunned. I’d heard of the billionaire Julian Vance, but only in passing.

I had no idea what he looked like or what he actually did.

"Yes. Due to health reasons, Mr. Vance needs to go abroad for treatment for six months. To keep the company's stock price stable during this period, we need a double to take his place."

"Mr. Vance is willing to pay you five million dollars. Plus, he will cover all your expenses during this time. You only need to do exactly what he instructs."

"Deal. I’ll do it!"

Hesitating for even half a second would be a massive disrespect to five million dollars.

"Be at the address on the envelope by 6:00 PM. I’ll send some background files to your phone. Tonight is your test. Once you pass, a two-million-dollar deposit will be wired to your account."

Looking at the mansion key in my hand, my lips curved into a smirk.

I never thought I’d see the day where I could make a living just by using my face.

I spent the entire afternoon reading through the files the butler sent me, memorizing the key details.

Right on time, I arrived at the address. Looking at the luxury estate in front of me, I had to admit I was incredibly jealous.

Calling this place a mansion was an understatement. It was literally a private castle.

I took out the key and opened the massive front gate.

As soon as I walked in, the housekeeper, Mrs. Gable, rushed over to greet me.

"Mr. Vance, you’re back. What would you like to drink?"

She leaned down, taking my coat and placing a pair of slippers by my feet.

When she bent over, her snug-fitting uniform with a low neckline revealed a generous view of her cleavage. This voluptuous woman in her thirties was absolutely stunning.

It was my first time being pampered like this. I was a bit uncomfortable, but man, it felt good.

"Darjeeling tea."

According to the files, Julian Vance was a stern, powerful man who was absolutely obsessed with rare Darjeeling tea.

The housekeeper nodded, bowing slightly. "Madam is upstairs in the bedroom choosing her outfit. Today is your wedding anniversary. She’s been looking forward to it all day."

Hearing those words, my scalp instantly went numb.

Wait, what?

Madam?

Wedding anniversary?

Why the hell did nobody warn me about this?!

Cold sweat instantly drenched my back. The key in my hand suddenly felt incredibly heavy.

Tonight was going to be a disaster.

*Clack! Clack!*

Just as I was panicking, the sound of high heels echoing down the stairs caught my attention.

I looked up, and my eyes were immediately drawn to a pair of long, flawless legs.

Then, a drop-dead gorgeous woman appeared before me.

It was Julian’s wife, Serena Vance.

Looking at her face, I couldn't help but gulp.

She was stunning.

Seductive.

She looked almost like a supermodel, with an air of pure elegance.

Her eyes alone could steal a man's soul.

With just one look, I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest.

No wonder Julian Vance had to go abroad for medical treatment. With a goddess like this around, no man’s body could handle it.

The next second, her sultry voice echoed.

"I’m surprised you actually remembered what day it is."

"I could forget anything, but never today," I replied with a smile, though my forehead was dripping with sweat.

Accompanied by a wave of intoxicating perfume, Serena reached out and gently wiped the sweat from my brow.

"Look at you, you’re sweating. Go take a shower."

She turned to the housekeeper and ordered, "Mrs. Gable, tell the kitchen to serve dinner in half an hour."

I forced myself to stay calm, walked upstairs, found the master bedroom, and rushed into the bathroom to turn on the faucet.

I quickly stripped and sank into the warm water of the massive bathtub.

Suddenly, the bathroom door clicked open.

Serena walked in.

"Babe, let me give you a massage..."

Before I could speak, a pair of soft, warm hands landed on my shoulders, gently kneading my tense muscles.

My heart was beating like a drum.

I felt a sudden, thrilling rush of adrenaline. It was like I was sneaking around behind someone's back.

Dangerous and incredibly exciting.

If Julian Vance ever found out about this, he’d strangle me to death.

To avoid giving myself away, I kept my eyes tightly shut.

But as I was enjoying it, I realized those soft hands were starting to wander.

They slithered down my neck, slowly moving down my chest.

"I’m done washing. Let's go eat first."

I suppressed the wild desires inside me and grabbed her wandering hands.

I looked up, meeting Serena’s watery, seductive eyes.

My heart skipped a beat.

Imitating Julian's deep, cold tone, I said, "I’m hungry."

"Hungry for what? Food, or..." She glanced down, and I instantly got her meaning.

I quickly answered, "Food! I’m starving!"

Hearing this, Serena rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Your clothes are at the door. I’ll wait for you downstairs."

Only after she left did I finally breathe a sigh of relief.

No way. I had to find an excuse to leave tonight.

If I stayed, something crazy was bound to happen!

Just as I expected, when I went downstairs, Serena had changed into a stunning white evening gown.

She sat across from me and signaled Mrs. Gable to pour the wine.

"Babe, try the Maine lobster. It was flown in fresh this morning."

As she leaned forward to plate the food for me, her low-cut gown left very little to the imagination.

I quickly looked down, focusing entirely on my plate.

"Come on, babe. Happy anniversary."

I’ve never been a good drinker, but tonight, I couldn't afford to ruin the act.

I had no choice but to raise my glass.

"To my beautiful wife. May you grow more stunning every day."

My words made Serena burst into a melodious laugh. Her seductive eyes locked onto me, scanning my face.

"Babe, you seem a bit different today."

*Crap!*

Did she notice something?

My heart hammered against my ribs. I instantly regretted running my mouth. Why did I have to say that?

The next second, a hint of sadness flashed across Serena’s face.

"You haven't been home in six months. I thought you wouldn't even show up today."

She didn't notice?

I let out a quiet sigh of relief. It looked like their marriage wasn't doing too well.

Otherwise, who would leave a gorgeous wife like her alone for half a year?

To avoid making any more mistakes, I stayed silent.

I focused all my attention on the delicious food in front of me.

Serena kept putting food on my plate.

"Eat slowly, babe."

"Here, have another glass."

Before long, the bottle of red wine was empty.

The gourmet food had all ended up in my stomach.

My low alcohol tolerance caught up with me, and my head started to spin.

I leaned back against the chair to catch my breath.

Serena’s face was also flushed pink, and she was staring at me with bedroom eyes.

"Babe, do you know how much I’ve missed you these past six months?"

Her intoxicating scent drifted over, and beneath the table, she began rubbing her bare foot against my leg.

The fire I had desperately tried to put out was instantly reignited.

Fueled by the alcohol, my brain went completely foggy. I stood up, scooped Serena into my arms, and carried her straight toward the bedroom...
