My Housekeeper's Son Stole My Identity

Chapter 3

From that day on, Tyler and Chloe started coming in late and leaving early. Their SnapChat stories were filled with photos of them eating out and going to the movies together.

Tyler even flaunted it in front of me whenever he got the chance.

Meanwhile, I was completely isolated in the office and even received a written warning for no good reason.

I knew Chloe was behind this. She wanted to freeze me out and force me to break up with her so she could be with Tyler guilt-free.

Finally, a week later, at midnight, I received a Snapchat from Tyler.

It was a photo of him and Chloe in bed together. Seeing them so intimate made me want to throw up.

I suddenly remembered the first time I met Chloe.

She was wearing a sharp white suit, looking incredibly capable and confident. But when she looked at me, there was a spark in her eyes.

At the time, I thought she liked me for who I was.

Now I realized she probably knew the Miller Group’s heir was working at the bottom of the company. She just couldn't tell whether it was me or Tyler yet.

Now that Tyler had fooled her, she finally showed her true colors.

I didn't see them for a while after that, until the company’s Annual Gala a month later.

Tyler arrived late, holding Chloe by the waist, enjoying the envious stares of everyone in the room.

Seeing me, he raised his chin proudly. "Chloe wanted to be my date tonight. You don't mind, do you, Logan?"

I looked at Tyler, who was wearing one of my custom-tailored suits, and then at Chloe in his arms.

I smiled mockingly. "Didn't you say you were a loyal guy? How did you end up in bed with Chloe so quickly?"

Everyone’s eyes darted back and forth between us.

Tyler’s smug smile froze. Before he could speak, Chloe pointed at my face and snapped, "How dare you speak to him like that? Tyler and I are just friends! Why are you so small-minded?

Look at how understanding Tyler is, and then look at your jealous, suspicious face!

No wonder those eight other girls dumped you."

Just friends?

Looking at the hickey on Chloe’s neck, I felt like throwing up.

Tyler played along, pretending to be the peacemaker. "Yeah, Logan, don't get the wrong idea. I was just helping you test her.

Don't worry, Chloe passed the test. She's a great girl. You should treat her better from now on and don't let my presence ruin your relationship."

He sounded so righteous, as if everything he did was out of pure concern for me.

In my past life, he did the exact same thing—leeching off my family while planning our downfall.

Thinking about my past life, I exposed his lies without hesitation. "Is your 'loyalty test' conducted in bed? That's disgusting."

The moment the words left my mouth, Chloe lost her mind. "Logan Miller! What is wrong with you? Why is your mind so filthy?

Tyler actually defended you, saying you were poor but had a good heart. Now I see they were right. You don't deserve me at all."

Compared to Chloe’s rage, Tyler looked incredibly calm and innocent.

He probably thought I was still the same fool who would believe anything he said.

He shook his head with a pitiful sigh. "Logan, I really saw you as a brother. I was just afraid you’d get hurt, so I tested your girls. I guess I was just sticking my nose where it didn't belong."

His act made everyone in the room look at him with sympathy.

Chloe stood in front of him and comforted him. "It’s not your fault, Tyler. It’s this ungrateful nanny's son who has no manners. I’ll make him apologize to you right now."

She turned to me imperiously. "Get over here, kneel down, and apologize to Tyler. Otherwise, we are done."

I laughed out loud. "Break up? Sure! If you want to be my nanny’s son's side chick so badly, go ahead!"

Hearing me agree to the breakup, Tyler's eyes flashed with excitement.

But his mouth said the opposite. "Logan, don't be rash! If you break up with Chloe, where else are you going to find a girl this perfect? And..."

Before he could finish, Chloe cut him off. "Tyler, stop defending him! I was blind to ever date Logan.

From now on, not only am I breaking up with him, but I’m also going to make sure he gets fired from this company!"

Right at that moment, a powerful voice echoed through the hall. "Who has the audacity to fire my son from his own company?"

The crowd parted instantly. My dad stepped forward, his natural authority making the entire room go silent.

Several executives and Chloe’s father, Mr. Carter, bowed their heads, cold sweat dripping down their faces.

My mom, on the other hand, was glaring at Chloe and Tyler with absolute disgust.
