From Fake Love to the Top of the Game

The afternoon I was about to meet my online boyfriend in real life, Zack went live on Twitch with a special stream.

The stream title was painfully eye-catching: [Exposing My "Mega-Size" Online Girlfriend — Donate $1,000 and I’ll take her out for vegan food!]

Ten minutes after going live, he pasted a photo of my high school graduation picture in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Back then, I weighed 250 pounds, had a face full of acne, and wore a school uniform that looked ready to split open.

The chat was instantly buried under a flood of "LMAO" and vomiting emojis.
